“Our first night my vehicle got broken into the back window busted out. Like many more we saw each day. They charged $15 a day for parking for a gate that lets anyone in & out without a code. Which they give you when you check-in. As we were leaving the hotel for our day out, that’s when we see that thewindow was busted out with plastic over it. We go to Notify the front desk they told us they had already done a police report. The guy that the front desk was nice, but was fast talker saying how sorry he was & that he will do something to Compensate us. We were suppose to be checking out after 3 night, but ended up staying a extra night so that we could get the window fixed. Thank God we found someone that could fix it that Friday. Which cost us $375.00. We were told from the guy at the front desk that Marriott will contact our insurancecompany (fast talking) that we should get compensated for the window. As we checking out the receipt only showed credit for 1 night for 1 room we had two rooms. That’s not compensation for what we had to pay for the window. Call corporate NOTHING. As we leaving the hotel we notice 2 more cars with busted back window with plastic with a Berkeley police department card. They’ll be surprised just like we were. “For the electric vehicle driver, this hotel is great. Excellent amenities and friendly staff. Where you plug in, there is an access door that is right off the lobby. Cool bar and restaurant and had live music on a Tuesday night. Rooms could use a bit of upkeep and love, the bolt on my door would stick so the door would stay ajar when I’d walk in and the bathroom could use a better cleaning regime along the corners and fixtures but for one night-it was perfect.”
