“OKAY! The average score for this place is misleading. It has recently been through a complete gut and renovation, and boy, IT IS GORGEOUS! I wish I took more photos to display the amazing job they did to retain the character and historical significance of the building. The rooms are upgraded and the temp was stable, which is a big concern of mine when I stay in hotels. The restaurant and coffee bar is outstanding.They staff take the hospitality thing pretty seriously and make every guest’s a positive experience. I look forward to staying and dining at this hotel the next time I am in Des Moines.”

“This hotel was absolutely beautiful. A fabulous worker at the hotel informed me they had just reopened after 7 years of renovation. It was very modern and the bed was so soft. We were tickled to see my mother in laws name on the screen when we came into the room, how cool! I would love to come here personally and stay again!”
