“This is a terrible hotel in a terrible part of town. Do not be fooled by the pictures and take two minutes to look up a crime map of Hartford, you will find that this hotel is in one of the worst parts of town. Avoid if you have other options; if you don’t have other options, get inside and stay there until you have to leave, I wouldn’t even consider going out for a stroll. Expect to come across multiple homeless people within minutes and expect to not see a single police officer during your stay there. It seems like the city decided to go with “if a tree falls in the forest, but there is no one there to hear it, does it make a sound?”My double room smelled like a combination of cigarettes, marijuana, and dingy old curtains. The walls and floors/ceilings are paper thin-you will hear everything! Nothing like someone in the room next door dropping something at 11pm and waking you up. Bathroom ventilation is terrible and possibly allows for a backdraft allowing smells from other rooms to come in. The AC sounded like a water feature-I wonder what sort of fungus grows in there. The only possible positive are the friendly people at the front desk and that the room appeared clean, but given all the other negatives I wonder what I’m missing/didn’t notice. The breakfast was edible, although salty. The “check-in” 15 minute parking smells of urine. I would never stay there again. O estacionamento de 15 minutos “check-in” cheira a urina. Eu nunca ficaria lá novamente.”
