Originally opened in 1927 as the Davis Hotel this Chicago landmark has 306 rooms on 14 floors. The granite countertops and rainfall showerheads provide more luxe touches. Wi-Fi is available for a fee. The on-site American bistro serves breakfast and lunch and there's also a martini bar. Located at the north end of Magnificent Mile the Millennium Knickerbocker is a stone's throw from the Mile's high-end boutiques. The CTA's Chicago Red Line is a 10-minute walk from the hotel. Walk four minutes south to the open-air skywalk at the John Hancock Observatory or stroll a few minutes southeast to Navy Pier. The Knickerbocker is a 27-minute drive southeast of O'Hare International Airport and 21 minutes northeast of Midway International Airport.

The bedroom was spacious and comfortable. There are a coffee machine and tv with a great choice of channels, lovely bathroom, lovely bed linen, robes, and towels. It is well worth paying extra.
