Sister City is a hotel with 200 intimate/ efficient rooms/ created by the studio that made Ace Hotel. It is an experiment in essentialism a hotel distilled to its most beautiful working parts. It gives you shelter when you need it/ but helps deliver you out into the wider world too. Inspired by Finnish saunas/ Japanese bento boxes/ the rock cut cliff dwellings of prehistory and John Cages 4 33/ Sister City considers whats truly needed for the modern traveler/ a list that includes/ but is not limited to/ the following/ -A Roof -Outlets -Plants -Soft Feeling -Courage -Spirit Every room is a vessel waiting to be filled. There is a ground floor restaurant. The address is 225 Bowery/ a few doors down from the New Museum.
