Re-creating the charm of the seaside village of Portofino Italy Universal's Loews Portofino Bay Hotel offers guests themed swimming pools excellent restaurants and an exclusive package of special theme park benefits. Universal's Loews Portofino features Italian-inspired architecture and canals leading to Universal's theme parks. Guests skip the lines at Universal Studios and Universal's Islands of Adventure hop aboard free water taxis connecting the property and Universal parks and get priority reservations at select resort restaurants. The resort's 750 luxurious rooms some overlooking the garden or bay feature marble trim rich textiles and elegant Italian furnishings. Pampering begins with waffle-comb bathrobes and plush beds boasting Sealy Posturepedic pillowtop mattresses down duvets and 300-thread-count cotton linens. High-tech perks include flat-panel HDTVs with premium cable and DVD players clock radios with iPod cables and Wi-Fi (for a fee in the rooms free in the lobby). There is a $25 extra charge per adult for triple and quad occupancy and pet-friendly rooms are available. Kids aged 17 and under stay free. Choose from the family pool with its sand beach huge fort and aqueduct-style waterslide the quieter villa pool or a lushly landscaped hillside pool. Enjoy nightly serenades from the balcony overlooking the piazza. Parking is available for an additional fee. Shuttle service to the theme parks is complimentary. The resort is within walking distance of both Universal Studios Florida® and Universal's Islands of Adventure®. Wet 'n Wild® waterpark is 10 minutes away and SeaWorld® Orlando is 17 minutes away. Orlando International Airport is 12 miles from the property.

“The Loews Portofino Bay Hotel at Universal Orlando is great hotel and just a water taxi away from the part entrances. The hotel is lovely and it's great that the Express passes are included in the price! We HIGHLY recommend the Express passes because they are worth it and saved us so much time during the busy summer travel season. The water taxi is very efficient and a great way to get to the park entrances. Note, if it is storming outside, the water taxis don't run. We walked the 0.7 miles back to the hotel via the garden walk (it's a beautiful walk along the river) one evening when it wouldn't stop lightening. I recommend this hotel and location!”

“The hotel was great! The beds were super comfortable as were the pillows. The pool was great with the beach area and slides. Taking the water taxi to the parks and to City walk was a breeze and was quite fun. All the kids loved it and made for a fun experience. The express pass unlimited was such a life saver. With it, we were able to do both parks and rode on multiple rides 2-3 times in a row. We ended up riding every ride which added up to 24 total times we rode on the rides. We actually left before the parks closed because we were exhausted from all the rides! All-in-all, we would definitely stay here again and would recommend to everyone to do the same!”
